Well, this hosting account is for my "just for fun" sites, they don't make enough money to justify spending a ton of money on it. What's dirty about what they do is, they give you lots of bandwidth, so you buy the package, but they limit concurrent connections so that you'll never be able to use the bandwidth you pay for.
And when I say they're horrible, its for a variety of reasons. Wait until you have to call support someday, and you'll see exactly what I mean. They are a bunch of incompetent assholes who will lie to you and insult you rather than address the problem. They have a first line of $9 an hour "techs" who know absolutely nothing about hosting, they simply memorize scripts to get you off the phone. Several times I have called them, and even the "higher level" technicians have actually made up fake terminology and explanations on the spot (I should point out that I'm a software engineer by trade haha) to get me off the phone.
When you escalate calls to supervisors it's even worse. One sup told me I needed to "learn how to code" and that he simply didn't care if I took my business elsewhere, because godaddy has millions of customers so it wouldn't affect them. While this may be true, its highly unprofessional and inconsiderate to actually say it to a customer over the phone, who is calmly asking for help.
I'm going to be starting my own hosting company soon, and I'll move everything over there, and I'll never refer any of my customers to godaddy hosting ever again. (I used to send around 50 people there a year).
