This was the article in the very next issue of The Commuter, the publication I wrote that article about Obama to...a reader named Mike Thomas sent a letter in requesting it be printed in the opinion section regarding my letter it was titled "Reader stands up for Sen. Obama; wans the truth" and read something like this:
"Josiah Stephens' accusatory article on Senator Obama and his politics was, sadly misleading and amateur. Infactm I am convincedd that Stephens' political credibility thus far would be fit to land him employment as a Fox Newscommentator and little else. He goes out on a limb to recycle the same hack talking points thaat Obama's competition have used so well to his disadvantage--namely , things that his preacher said and a comment he made before the Pennsylvannia primary (it should be noted that many Pennsyvania voters who votedagainst Obama actually agreed with his statement thatthey were "bitter" and sought solace through their guns, etc.) I am sick of the Reverend Wright "scandal." And in response to the comment that "Obama caves in to popular demand like a 12 yera old girl..." in regards to the national dissent towards wright; If Stephens had researched his topic well enough, he'd know that Obama only "disowned" his former preacher after Wright went out on a limb to blame America for wrongs that lacked general fault. If our affiliations make us who we are, then George W. Bush is a musslim terrorist who hates America--afterall, his family and Bin Laden's family have a history together... Josiah Stephens spends no time discussing the senator's platforms on education, the economy, the war...the things that really matter. Instead he opts for political distractions. The resources are out there! A college student ought to know better."
