What do you think about convertibles? Do you find them cool? I have a convertible and I always think that it looks good. I need a new top though because my old one got trashed by the weather

They do look cool, but they're for cruising around slowly showing off & that's not my thing. I also don't feel quite safe in one. An ex of my sister rolled his convertible & has a scar on his head that looks like someone tried to scalp him.

Hah, My conv. dosen't chug around going slow. I found the speed limiter with my top down, That is 147 mph. Truth is a coupe isn't any safer at 100+, seat belt, and air bags just arn't that effective. Neither is the hard top, at high speeds. Thats why you see roll cages in racecars.

I absolutely adore convertibles. I don't think they're appropriate for every car, though, or even every Mustang. Depending on the car, it can make me melt...or cringe.

My 96 Gt vert hauled too, did you ever feel like if you weren't wearing your seat belt you would have been sucked out the top?
fastest I ever went was about 120 with the top down but I frequently tickled the triple digits, quite a rush in a droptop for sure! 8-) and to answer the post, I love convertibles! my first mustang was a vert and I can't wait til I find another one! you just can't feel as cool in a hard top as you do in a drop.

I don't know about others, but that was always the part of the rush for me. Going fast kept me pressed back against the seat, but then it'd feel like I was being sucked upward. It was awesome!
