I know alot of you guys around here drag race on the track, but do any of you guys every make it down to coos bay speedway?
They have ET drags a little later this month and I was thinkin about going to them. I've never dragged before so if you guys could tell me anything I'd need to know or any advice, I'd really appreciate it!
The car I'd be dragging is my 99 GT with street radials...is this a bad idea? I just want to race **Legally** so it wouldn't be serious or anything, but what are the chances of me breaking soemthing? since my car is my only daily driver it wouldn't be good to break anything! anyways, you personal experiece would be very helpful!

I used to drag race my DD down at PIR every weekend for a whole season with out breaking anything. Not saying it won't happen to you but your not making a lot of power and make sure everything is in top condition. If anything starts feeling or sounding weird stop racing immediately. Listen to what your car is telling you! Give it a try man, it's very addicting!! Have a blast and be safe!

I haven’t done any drag racing in my life and probably not on the future because I’m not that courageous to do that. I like my life and I don’t to loose it.

Every since I traded my 02 mustang in, I have not done any drag racing, but I have seen plenty done by my friends and at our local RED NECK track. I love that rumble!!!

I think that drag races are a waste of time and hence should be stop because of the dangers that it could do to us. I’m not going to try that!

well ya it's dangerous but so is boxing and wrestling and baseball and using vending machines so I guess each to his own...I personally love my car and would like to see how i've done when compared side by side with someone else who shares my passion...what better way than a (legal)race? haha

Well I think candy bars and sodas make Americans to fat and cause far more medical problems and deaths, along with the evil murdering vending machines they are put in, then drag racing, I think they should be stopped because of the danger they DO to us. I think if some one enjoys it then go for it, just because your afraid to do something or don't enjoy doing it doesn't mean you should rain on every one else's parade by getting rid of said thing..but that is just my personal opinion, and we all are indeed are allowed our opinions.

I admit I'd be too wary of busting something if I were doing it in my day to day car.
