Fuel theft

Postby Green-Moo on Tue Jul 01, 2008 6:52 am

there's been in increase in the number of drive offs at fuel stations near me recently, which they reckon is due to the increase in fuel prices. Is this on the increase elsewhere too?

Yes this is on the rise else where too. I read a story of how there have been a lot of licese plate thefts also. What they are doing is stealing the licese plate..putting it on their car then fueling up and driving off. When they run the plate your car comes up instead of theirs and they get off scott free. So keep an eye on your plates people.

No, I never heard of someone stealing another car while filling with some fuel on my area.

I think that the best way to counteract this is to stop the fuel engine while refilling and don’t go to far from the car. This way the car theft wouldn’t have any chance.

No chocoguy, they're nicking the plates from cars when they're parked up somewhere, then putting them on their own car so that when they drive off from fuel stations using them, someone else gets the blame.

If that’s the case then there are lots of incidents in our country just like that. If you are going to our country and would like to drive a car then I would advised you to stay away from Quezon City.

I’m living in the Philippines.

Most of the incidents that happened on Quezon City have a buyer ready to buy those parts. If you are going to park your car in Quezon City then you must left one of your friends to guard it otherwise, you will find out that most of parts are missing.
