Headers and x pipe?

Postby josiahes on Thu Apr 24, 2008 6:40 pm

Hey guys, I'm getting really boed with my car, i have a great induction that cost like 350 bucks...my friend bought me it for my bday and i want to get a less restrictive exhaust to put it to better use. since we don't have emissions checks here, i am going to go with an offroad pipe, but what brand will give me the best power, sound, and performance for my bucks? Also, what are the different types of headers available? what size pipes, anything to look out for or look for? school me in the art of headers because my money is very precious to me and i really enjoy my mustang!! I'm a poor college student and will prolly have 200 at most to spend...i know that's not much at all, but let's just pretend! lol I do it alot....anyways...do you guys have any combinations maybe you could post so i could hear, or see(dyno graph) the differences in headers/no headers, anything else that'd be great! Thanks!
while you're hear, i found a set of headers/x pipe on ebay, dunno about the brands or anything but is it any good?

You don't have emissions tests where you are? Is that quite common then? I thought everywhere did emissions tests now that environmental pollution is becoming such a headline subject.

Wow! You learn something every day. I'm jealous, I've failed my last two inspections on emissions tests.
