I am wondering. Just how wide a tire can I run, on the rear. I went to my usual tire store. Shopped for new tires, and rims(Fords chrome peels) I want to go 10.5 in the rear. I was told to stick with the 8's, no wider than 275's. At this time I am at 245 front, 275 rear. I would like go 265/325. Should indicate 2001 Mustang GT.

I know for a fact that you can fit at least a 305 on the 10.5" rim. I run with a lot of Fox owners and some of them with the quad shock removed have run 315's on the back without rolling the fender. I would Imagine it would have to do with the backspacing on the wheel as no two applications are the same!

I have a budy with a 95 with 10.5 in the rear and he runs 315's no problem, have talked to a few different people with new edge's running a 315 on the back with a 17x10.5 you shouldn't have any worries
