May Ride of the Month - Vote here!!! (or post your ride!!)

Postby Jeremy on Fri Apr 04, 2008 8:18 pm

Here is the official thread for the May ride of the month. If you want your ride considered, post the picture here, and any information such as mods, 1/4 mile times etc. At the last week, I will create a poll so everyone can vote on the one they want. I don't want to be the only one to decide the winner, but have the community choose!!

So post your ride, and mods and we'll be voting soon!!

Just found this site, thought I might introduce myself and my car here. Its a '93 SSP coupe with just over 60,000 miles. Has a 352" Rblock with a scat billet crank, rods, JE forged pistons, AFR205 heads, and a Hogans intake. Tranny is a Lentech 4R70 strip terminator with t'brake and lockup. Has run a best of 10.01 @ 134 so far this year, but should be in the 9's with a little more tuning, and thats on 93octane pump gas.

Jeff Nelson
Oregon
Car: 1969 mach 1 428 SCJ
Mods: Flowmaster 40 exhaust, hooker super comp headers, bear brakes, billet specialty fastlane wheels.
Bought the car in 2000. Sanded all the rust off, Stacie Hunt out of Fossil Oregon painted the car and as you can see did an excellent job,the pictures truly don't do it justice. It was finally done in May of 05, The day before the Annual Show and Shine in Richland WA, which my dad had been dying to take it to. When we got the car it was a rust bucket, and had the ugliest Indian fire paint. He decided to paint it Mineral Grey. It's come along way, and is finally exactly how we wanted it.

Heres the Beast in its current form, 3 engines removed from the condition it was when i bought it in '05 first a stock 302, than a fully re-built 351C which had the unlucky blessing of a freak hairline fracture in the camshaft which snapped and through a short, loud, and complicated process broke two rods and cracked the top of the block. Currently It is engineless, though its to be engine is sitting about 8 feet next to it, and it is:

a Seasoned 1969 302 block, bored .30 over
Eagle Crank-cast steel 3.000
Eagle rods forged-5.090
9 to 1 compression forged pistons
Comp Cam 224/230 camshaft
Rebuilt heads, fully machined and washed
Comp Cam Magnum Roller Rockers
Timing gear set (not timing chain)
H.V. Oil and Water Pump
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
Edelbrock Performer 600CFM carb
Electronic Ignition

Rebuilt C-4 tranny with a B&M shift kit as well as a B&M MegaShifter

Re-Upholstered Interior, which includes the installation of a Pioneer deck, 2 Pioneer 6" round kick panel speakers, 2 Alipine 6-1/2" speakers, 2 Alpine Type R 10" subs in an encloser for much cheaper subs, Kockoff 8" mid's and an Knockoff 2000W Amplifier to match in the trunk.
