Moo-
Just go with somebody who's looking out for you and you trust if your not familiar with shooting. Otherwise you get some jerk who thinks that it's funny to tell you that your 12 guage won't kick any more than a bb gun or somebody who shoots metal objects with shotguns from 3 feet. Also, I'd reccomend starting with something small like a 22 or a 4 10, that way you'll get used to holding a gun and feeling a kick, then you can move up to the big guns! (pun intended)
And just as a person warning,
-Stay away from the scope.
-Don't point blank ANYTHING, especially a tree with thick bark.
-Avoid shooting steel plates...with anything
mind those and you should be good, haha...
